¹⁶The leader among Gershom's sons was Shebuel. ¹⁷Eliezer had only one son, Rehabiah, but Rehabiah had many descendants.

¹⁸Kohath's second son, Izhar, had a son, Shelomith, the head of the clan.

¹⁶The descendants of Gershom:^(A)

Shubael was the first.

¹⁷The descendants of Eliezer:

Rehabiah^(B) was the first.

Eliezer had no other sons, but the sons of Rehabiah were very numerous.
