⁴ Yet the Lord God of Israel ^(A)chose me from all my father's house to be king over Israel ^(B)for ever. ^(C)For he chose Judah as leader, and in the house of Judah my father's ^(D)house, and among my father's sons he took pleasure in me to make me king over all Israel.

²³ And now, O Lord, let the word that you have spoken concerning your servant and concerning his house be established for ever, and do as you have spoken,

²⁷ Now you have been pleased to bless the house of your servant, that it may continue for ever before you, for it is you, O Lord, who have blessed, and it is blessed for ever.”
