33 And the king said to them, “Take with you (A)the servants of your lord and have Solomon my son ride on my own mule, and bring him down to (B)Gihon. 34 And let Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet there (C)anoint him king over Israel. (D)Then blow the trumpet and say, (E)‘Long live King Solomon!’ 35 You shall then come up after him, and he shall come and sit on my throne, for he shall be king in my place. And I have appointed him to be ruler over Israel and over Judah.” 36 And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada answered the king, “Amen! May the Lord, the God of my lord the king, say so. 37 (F)As the Lord has been with my lord the king, even so may he be with Solomon, (G)and make his throne greater than the throne of my lord King David.”
38 So Zadok the priest, Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, (H)and the Cherethites and the Pelethites went down and had Solomon ride on King David's mule and brought him to Gihon. 39 There Zadok the priest took the horn of (I)oil from the tent and (J)anointed Solomon. (K)Then they blew the trumpet, and all the people said, (L)“Long live King Solomon!”

33 he said to them: “Take your lord’s servants with you and have Solomon my son mount my own mule(A) and take him down to Gihon.(B) 34 There have Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet anoint(C) him king over Israel. Blow the trumpet(D) and shout, ‘Long live King Solomon!’ 35 Then you are to go up with him, and he is to come and sit on my throne and reign in my place. I have appointed him ruler over Israel and Judah.”
36 Benaiah son of Jehoiada answered the king, “Amen! May the Lord, the God of my lord the king, so declare it. 37 As the Lord was with my lord the king, so may he be with(E) Solomon to make his throne even greater(F) than the throne of my lord King David!”
38 So Zadok(G) the priest, Nathan the prophet, Benaiah son of Jehoiada, the Kerethites(H) and the Pelethites went down and had Solomon mount King David’s mule, and they escorted him to Gihon.(I) 39 Zadok the priest took the horn of oil(J) from the sacred tent(K) and anointed Solomon. Then they sounded the trumpet(L) and all the people shouted,(M) “Long live King Solomon!”
