15     For we are strangers before You, sojourners, as all our fathers were.
        Our days on the earth are dark and temporary.
16     O Eternal One our God, we realize that all this abundance,
        all that will build Your temple for Your holy name,
    Is from Your hand already.
        Everything is Yours.

17     O my God, You test the heart and delight when it is proven faithful,
        so I, with an honest heart, have willingly offered all these things.
    And now I have joyfully witnessed Your people, who are present here,
        make their offerings willingly and joyously to You.

15 We are foreigners and strangers(A) in your sight, as were all our ancestors. Our days on earth are like a shadow,(B) without hope. 16 Lord our God, all this abundance that we have provided for building you a temple for your Holy Name comes from your hand, and all of it belongs to you. 17 I know, my God, that you test the heart(C) and are pleased with integrity. All these things I have given willingly and with honest intent. And now I have seen with joy how willingly your people who are here have given to you.(D)
