²⁰ They were helped against them, and the Hagrites and all who were with them were handed over to them; for ^(A)they cried out to God in the battle, and He answered their prayers because ^(B)they trusted in Him.

Enemies Destroy Themselves

²⁰ They rose early in the morning and went out to the wilderness of Tekoa; and when they went out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, “Listen to me, Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: ^(A)Put your trust in the Lord your God and you will endure. Put your trust in His prophets, and succeed.”

¹⁷ If it be so, our ^(A)God whom we serve is able to rescue us from the furnace of blazing fire; ^[a]and ^(B)He will rescue us from your hand, O king.

²⁸ Nebuchadnezzar responded and said, “Blessed be the ^(A)God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, who has ^(B)sent His angel and rescued His servants who put their ^(C)trust in Him, ^[a]violating the king’s command, and surrendered their bodies ^(D)rather than serve or worship any god except their own God.
