²²and many others fell slain, because the battle^(A) was God’s. And they occupied the land until the exile.^(B)

²²For there fell down many slain, because the war was of God. And they dwelt in their steads until the captivity.

⁷Some trust in chariots^(A) and some in horses,^(B)
but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.^(C)

⁷Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.

⁶He will be a spirit of justice^(A)
to the one who sits in judgment,^(B)
a source of strength
to those who turn back the battle^(C) at the gate.

⁶And for a spirit of judgment to him that sitteth in judgment, and for strength to them that turn the battle to the gate.
