31 (A)Now these are those whom David appointed over the service of song in the house of the Lord, (B)after the ark rested there. 32 They ministered with song before the tabernacle of the tent of meeting, until Solomon had built the house of the Lord in Jerusalem; and they [a]served in their office according to their order.

They performed their duties according to the regulations laid down for them.
