33 And these are the singers, the chief fathers of the Levites, which dwelt in the chambers, [a]and had none other charge: for they had to do in that business day and night.
34 These were the chief fathers of the Levites according to their generations, and the principal which dwelt at Jerusalem.
35 (A)And in Gibeon dwelt [b]the father of Gibeon, Jeiel, and the name of his wife was Maachah.

33 Those who were musicians,(A) heads of Levite families, stayed in the rooms of the temple and were exempt from other duties because they were responsible for the work day and night.(B)
34 All these were heads of Levite families, chiefs as listed in their genealogy, and they lived in Jerusalem.
