¹⁹ For it is written:

³¹ Therefore, as it is written: “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.”^[a](A)

¹⁹ For the wisdom of this world is foolishness^(A) in God’s sight. As it is written: “He catches the wise in their craftiness”^[a];^{(B) 20} and again, “The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are futile.”^{[b](C) 21} So then, no more boasting about human leaders!^(D) All things are yours,^{(E) 22} whether Paul or Apollos^(F) or Cephas^[c](G) or the world or life or death or the present or the future^(H)—all are yours, ²³ and you are of Christ,^(I) and Christ is of God.
