9 Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted and were destroyed by serpents. 10 Neither murmur, as some of them also murmured and were destroyed by the destroyer.
11 Now all these things happened to them for examples. They are written as an admonition to us, upon whom the end of the ages has come.

9 We should not test Christ,[a](A) as some of them did—and were killed by snakes.(B) 10 And do not grumble, as some of them did(C)—and were killed(D) by the destroying angel.(E)
11 These things happened to them as examples(F) and were written down as warnings for us,(G) on whom the culmination of the ages has come.(H)
