¹⁶ But if anyone is inclined to be contentious, ^(A)we have no ^[a]such practice, nor have ^(B)the churches of God.

³³ for God is not a God of ^(A)confusion, but of peace.

As in ^(B)all the churches of the ^[a](C)saints,

¹⁸ We have sent along with him ^(A)the brother whose fame in the things of the ^(B)gospel has spread through ^(C)all the churches;

²⁸ Apart from such ^[a]external things, there is the daily pressure on me of concern for ^(A)all the churches.

²² I was still unknown by ^[a]sight to ^(A)the churches of Judea which are ^(B)in Christ;

¹⁴ For you, brothers and sisters, became ^(A)imitators of ^(B)the churches of God in Christ Jesus that are ^(C)in Judea, for ^(D)you also endured the same sufferings at the hands of your own countrymen, ^(E)even as they did from the Jews,

⁴ As a result, we ourselves ^(A)speak proudly of you among ^(B)the churches of God for your ^[a]perseverance and faith ^[b](C)in the midst of all your persecutions and afflictions which you endure.
