¹² For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror;^(A) then we shall see face to face.^(B) Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.^(C)

¹⁸ And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate^[a](A) the Lord’s glory,^(B) are being transformed into his image^(C) with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

²³ Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror

²⁴ and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like.
