³¹ I affirm by the pride in you that I have in Christ Jesus our Lord: I die every day!^(A)

4 So then, my brothers, you are dearly loved and longed for—my joy and crown.^(A) In this manner stand firm^(B) in the Lord, dear friends.

⁴ Therefore, we ourselves boast^(A) about you among God’s churches—about your endurance and faith in all the persecutions and afflictions you endure.
