1 Corinthians 15:43-45

Good News Translation

⁴³When buried, it is ugly and weak; when raised, it will be beautiful and strong. ⁴⁴When buried, it is a physical body; when raised, it will be a spiritual body. There is, of course, a physical body, so there has to be a spiritual body. ⁴⁵^(A)For the scripture says, “The first man, Adam, was created a living being”; but the last Adam is the life-giving Spirit.

⁴³it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory;^(A) it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; ⁴⁴it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body.^(B)

If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. ⁴⁵So it is written: “The first man Adam became a living being”^[a];^(C) the last Adam,^(D) a life-giving spirit.^(E)
