8 So I will remain here at Ephesus city until the Pentecost festival.[a] 9 God has given me the chance to do a great work here. But many people are against what I am doing.
10 If Timothy comes to you, please take care of him. Make sure that you welcome him. He is doing the Lord's work, as I am also doing.

8 But I will stay on at Ephesus(A) until Pentecost,(B) 9 because a great door for effective work has opened to me,(C) and there are many who oppose me.
10 When Timothy(D) comes, see to it that he has nothing to fear while he is with you, for he is carrying on the work of the Lord,(E) just as I am.
