1 Corinthians 3:16-23

¹⁶^(A)Do you not know that ^(B)you are a ^[a]temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? ¹⁷If anyone destroys the ^[b]temple of God, God will destroy ^[c]that person; for the ^[d]temple of God is holy, ^[e]and that is what you are.

¹⁸^(C)Take care that no one deceives himself. ^(D)If anyone among you thinks that he is wise in ^(E)this age, he must become foolish, so that he may become wise. ¹⁹For ^(F)the wisdom of this world is foolishness in the sight of God. For it is written: “He is ^(G)the one who catches the wise by their craftiness”; ²⁰and again, “^(H)The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are useless.” ²¹So then, ^(I)no one is to be boasting in people. For ^(J)all things belong to you, ²²^(K)whether Paul or Apollos or ^[f]Cephas, or the world or ^(L)life or death, or things present or things to come; all things belong to you, ²³and ^(M)you belong to Christ, and ^(N)Christ belongs to God.

New International Version

¹⁶Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple^(A) and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst?^(B) ¹⁷If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for God’s temple is sacred, and you together are that temple.

¹⁸Do not deceive yourselves. If any of you think you are wise^(C) by the standards of this age,^(D) you should become “fools” so that you may become wise. ¹⁹For the wisdom of this world is foolishness^(E) in God’s sight. As it is written: “He catches the wise in their craftiness”^[a];^(F) ²⁰and again, “The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are futile.”^[b]^(G) ²¹So then, no more boasting about human leaders!^(H) All things are yours,^(I) ²²whether Paul or Apollos^(J) or Cephas^[c]^(K) or the world or life or death or the present or the future^(L)—all are yours, ²³and you are of Christ,^(M) and Christ is of God.
