1 Corinthians 4:11-13

11 Even to this present hour we hunger, thirst, are naked, are beaten, and have no certain dwelling place. 12 We toil, working with our own hands. When people curse us, we bless. Being persecuted, we endure. 13 Being defamed, we entreat. We are made as the filth of the world, the dirt wiped off by all, even until now.

11 To this very hour we go hungry and thirsty, we are in rags, we are brutally treated, we are homeless.(A) 12 We work hard with our own hands.(B) When we are cursed, we bless;(C) when we are persecuted,(D) we endure it; 13 when we are slandered, we answer kindly. We have become the scum of the earth, the garbage(E) of the world—right up to this moment.
