¹⁵For you can have 10,000 instructors in Christ, but you can’t have many fathers. For I became your father^(A) in Christ Jesus through the gospel.

¹⁵For though ye have ten thousand instructers in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.

¹⁸By His own choice, He gave us a new birth by the message of truth^[a] so that we would be the firstfruits of His creatures.^(A)

¹⁸Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.
