5 Shame on you! Are none of you wise enough to judge between two Christian brothers?
6 But now one Christian brother takes another Christian brother to be judged by people who are not Christians.
7 It is wrong for you to take each other to court at all. You should be willing to take wrong. It would be better to lose.

5 I say this to shame you.(A) Is it possible that there is nobody among you wise enough to judge a dispute between believers?(B) 6 But instead, one brother(C) takes another to court—and this in front of unbelievers!(D)
7 The very fact that you have lawsuits among you means you have been completely defeated already. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be cheated?(E)
