¹⁶How do you know, wife, whether you will save^(A) your husband?^(B) Or, how do you know, husband, whether you will save your wife?

¹⁴in order somehow to make my fellow Jews jealous, and ^(A)thus save some of them.

¹⁴in the hope that I may somehow arouse my own people to envy^(A) and save^(B) some of them.
