24 In whatever condition you were called, brothers and sisters, there remain with God.
The Unmarried and the Widows
25 Now concerning virgins, I have no command of the Lord, but I give my opinion as one who by the Lord’s mercy is trustworthy.(A) 26 I think that, in view of the impending[a] crisis,[b] it is good for you to remain as you are.(B)

24 Brothers and sisters, each person, as responsible to God, should remain in the situation they were in when God called them.(A)
Concerning the Unmarried
25 Now about virgins: I have no command from the Lord,(B) but I give a judgment as one who by the Lord’s mercy(C) is trustworthy. 26 Because of the present crisis, I think that it is good for a man to remain as he is.(D)
