1 Corinthians 7:7-9

7 For[a] I wish all people were like me, but each person has his own gift from God. One person is blessed in this way, another in a different way.
8 I say to the unmarried and to widows that it is good for them if they remain as I am. 9 But if they do not have self-control, they should marry, because it is better to marry than to burn with desire.

New International Version
7 I wish that all of you were as I am.(A) But each of you has your own gift from God; one has this gift, another has that.(B)
8 Now to the unmarried[a] and the widows I say: It is good for them to stay unmarried, as I do.(C) 9 But if they cannot control themselves, they should marry,(D) for it is better to marry than to burn with passion.
