1 Corinthians 8:6-8
Jubilee Bible 2000
6 but to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
7 ¶ Howbeit there is not in everyone that knowledge, for some with conscience of the idol unto now, eat it as a thing offered unto an idol, and their conscience being weak is defiled.
8 But food does not make us more acceptable unto God; for neither if we eat are we the better, neither if we eat not are we the worse.

1 Corinthians 8:6-8
New International Version
6 yet for us there is but one God,(A) the Father,(B) from whom all things came(C) and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord,(D) Jesus Christ, through whom all things came(E) and through whom we live.
7 But not everyone possesses this knowledge.(F) Some people are still so accustomed to idols that when they eat sacrificial food they think of it as having been sacrificed to a god, and since their conscience is weak,(G) it is defiled. 8 But food does not bring us near to God;(H) we are no worse if we do not eat, and no better if we do.
