1 Corinthians 9:7-9

⁷Who at any time serves ^(A)as a soldier at his own expense? Who ^(B)plants a vineyard and does not eat the fruit of it? Or who tends a flock and does not ^[a]use the milk of the flock?

⁸I am not speaking these things ^(C)according to ^[b]human judgment, am I? Or does not the Law also say these things? ⁹For it is written in the Law of Moses, “^(D)You shall not muzzle the ox while he is threshing.” God is not concerned about ^(E)oxen, is He?

⁷Who serves as a soldier^(A) at his own expense? Who plants a vineyard^(B) and does not eat its grapes? Who tends a flock and does not drink the milk? ⁸Do I say this merely on human authority? Doesn’t the Law say the same thing? ⁹For it is written in the Law of Moses: “Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain.”^[a]^(C) Is it about oxen that God is concerned?^(D)
