² and He Himself is ^(A)the ^[a]propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also ^(B)for the sins of the whole world.

¹⁸ So then, as through ^(A)one offense ^[a]the result was condemnation to all mankind, so also through one ^(B)act of righteousness ^[b]the result was ^(C)justification of life to all mankind. ¹⁹ For as through the one man’s disobedience ^(D)the many ^(E)were made sinners, so also through ^(F)the obedience of the One ^(G)the many will be made righteous.

⁶ who ^(A)gave Himself as a ransom for all, the ^(B)testimony ^[a]given at ^[b](C)the proper time.

²⁹ The next day he *saw Jesus coming to him, and *said, “Behold, ^(A)the Lamb of God who ^(B)takes away the sin of the world!

Jesus Briefly Humbled

⁹ But we do see Him who was ^(A)made ^[a]for a little while lower than the angels, namely, Jesus, ^(B)because of His suffering death ^(C)crowned with glory and honor, so that ^(D)by the grace of God He might ^(E)taste death ^(F)for everyone.
