Modern English Version
6 Whoever remains in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has not seen Him and does not know Him.
7 Little children, let no one deceive you. The one who does righteousness is righteous, just as Christ is righteous. 8 Whoever practices sin is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was revealed, that He might destroy the works of the devil.

6 No one who lives in him keeps on sinning.(A) No one who continues to sin has either seen him(B) or known him.(C)
7 Dear children,(D) do not let anyone lead you astray.(E) The one who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous.(F) 8 The one who does what is sinful is of the devil,(G) because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God(H) appeared was to destroy the devil’s work.(I)
