16 If anyone sees his brother [a]committing a sin not leading to death, (A)he shall ask and [b]God will for him give life to those who commit sin not leading to death. (B)There is a sin leading to death; (C)I do not say that he should make request for this. 17 (D)All unrighteousness is sin, and (E)there is a sin not leading to death.

18 (F)We know that (G)no one who is [c]born of God sins; but He who was [d]born of God (H)keeps him, and (I)the evil one does not (J)touch him.

16 If you see any brother or sister commit a sin that does not lead to death, you should pray and God will give them life.(A) I refer to those whose sin does not lead to death. 18 We know that anyone born of God(F) does not continue to sin; the One who was born of God keeps them safe, and the evil one(G) cannot harm them.(H)
