11 Therefore the Lord said to Solomon, “Since you have done this and have not kept My covenant and statutes, which I commanded you, I will surely take the kingdom from you and give it to your servant. 12 I will not do this in your lifetime for your father David’s sake, but I will tear it out of the hand of your son. 13 However, I will not take the whole kingdom away, but will preserve one tribe for your son for David My servant’s sake and for the sake of Jerusalem which I chose.”

11 So the Lord said to Solomon, “Since this is your attitude and you have not kept my covenant and my decrees,(A) which I commanded you, I will most certainly tear(B) the kingdom away from you and give it to one of your subordinates. 12 Nevertheless, for the sake of David(C) your father, I will not do it during your lifetime. I will tear it out of the hand of your son. 13 Yet I will not tear the whole kingdom from him, but will give him one tribe(D) for the sake(E) of David my servant and for the sake of Jerusalem, which I have chosen.”(F)
