¹⁴And the Lord raised up an adversary against Solomon, Hadad the Edomite. He was of the royal house in Edom.

New International Version

¹⁴Then the Lord raised up against Solomon an adversary,^(A) Hadad the Edomite, from the royal line of Edom.

²³God also raised up as an adversary to him, Rezon the son of Eliada, who had fled from his master ^(A)Hadadezer king of Zobah.

²³And God raised up against Solomon another adversary,^(A) Rezon son of Eliada, who had fled from his master, Hadadezer^(B) king of Zobah.
