22 Then Pharaoh said to him, “But what have you lacked with me, that behold, you are seeking to go to your own country?” And he answered, “Nothing; nevertheless you must surely [a]let me go.”
23 (A)God also raised up another adversary to him, Rezon the son of Eliada, who had fled from his lord (B)Hadadezer king of Zobah. 24 He gathered men to himself and became leader of a marauding band, (C)after David slew them of Zobah; and they went to Damascus and stayed [b]there, and reigned in Damascus.

22 “What have you lacked here that you want to go back to your own country?” Pharaoh asked.
“Nothing,” Hadad replied, “but do let me go!”
23 And God raised up against Solomon another adversary,(A) Rezon son of Eliada, who had fled from his master, Hadadezer(B) king of Zobah. 24 When David destroyed Zobah’s army, Rezon gathered a band of men around him and became their leader; they went to Damascus,(C) where they settled and took control.
