1 Kings 12:16-18
Modern English Version
16 So when all Israel saw that the king did not listen to them, the people responded to the king, saying,
“What portion do we have in David?
We also do not have an inheritance in the son of Jesse.
To your tents, O Israel,
and see to your own house, David!”
So the people of Israel departed to their tents. 17 But the people of Israel living in the cities of Judah were ruled over by Rehoboam.
18 Then King Rehoboam sent Adoniram, who was in charge of the forced labor, and all Israel stoned him to death. As a result, King Rehoboam quickly mounted his chariot and fled to Jerusalem.

New International Version
16 When all Israel saw that the king refused to listen to them, they answered the king:
“What share(A) do we have in David,
what part in Jesse’s son?
To your tents, Israel!(B)
Look after your own house, David!”
So the Israelites went home.(C) 17 But as for the Israelites who were living in the towns of Judah,(D) Rehoboam still ruled over them.
18 King Rehoboam sent out Adoniram,[a](E) who was in charge of forced labor, but all Israel stoned him to death.(F) King Rehoboam, however, managed to get into his chariot and escape to Jerusalem.
