² And he cried out against the altar by the word of the Lord and said, “O altar, altar, thus says the Lord: A son shall be born to the house of David, Josiah by name, and he shall sacrifice on you the priests of the high places who offer incense on you, and human bones shall be burned on you.”^(A)

¹⁸ Manasseh slept with his ancestors and was buried in the garden of his house, in the garden of Uzza. His son Amon succeeded him.^(A)

²⁴ But the people of the land killed all those who had conspired against King Amon, and the people of the land made his son Josiah king in place of him.
