31 After he had buried him, he said to his sons, “When I die, bury me in the grave where the man of God is buried; lay my bones beside his bones, 32 for the message that he cried out by the word of the Lord against the altar in Bethel(A) and against all the shrines of the high places(B) in the cities of Samaria(C) is certain to happen.”(D)

33 Even after this,(E) Jeroboam did not repent(F) of his evil way but again made priests for the high places from the ranks of the people.(G) He ordained whoever so desired it, and they became priests of the high places.(H)

33 Even after this, Jeroboam did not change his evil ways,(E) but once more appointed priests for the high places from all sorts(F) of people. Anyone who wanted to become a priest he consecrated for the high places.
