14 The high places were not taken away,(A) but Asa was wholeheartedly devoted to the Lord his entire life.(B) 15 He brought his father’s consecrated gifts and his own consecrated gifts into the Lord’s temple: silver, gold, and utensils.(C)
16 There was war between Asa and King Baasha of Israel throughout their reigns.(D)

14 Although he did not remove(A) the high places, Asa’s heart was fully committed(B) to the Lord all his life. 15 He brought into the temple of the Lord the silver and gold and the articles that he and his father had dedicated.(C)
16 There was war(D) between Asa and Baasha king of Israel throughout their reigns.
