32 So he erected an altar for Baal in (A)the house of Baal which he built in Samaria. 33 Ahab also made (B)the [a]Asherah. Thus (C)Ahab did more to provoke the Lord God of Israel than all the kings of Israel who were before him. 34 (D)In his days Hiel the Bethelite built Jericho; he laid its foundations with the loss of Abiram his firstborn, and set up its gates with the loss of his youngest son Segub, according to the word of the Lord, which He spoke by Joshua the son of Nun.

New International Version
32 He set up an altar(A) for Baal in the temple(B) of Baal that he built in Samaria. 33 Ahab also made an Asherah pole(C) and did more(D) to arouse the anger of the Lord, the God of Israel, than did all the kings of Israel before him.
34 In Ahab’s time, Hiel of Bethel rebuilt Jericho. He laid its foundations at the cost of his firstborn son Abiram, and he set up its gates at the cost of his youngest son Segub, in accordance with the word of the Lord spoken by Joshua son of Nun.(E)
