^13 (A)No ^[a]servant can ^[b]serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot ^[c]serve God and ^[d](B)wealth.”

¹⁰ For am I now ^(A)seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a ^(B)slave of Christ.

⁴ You ^(A)adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with ^(B)the world is ^(C)hostility toward God? ^(D)Therefore, whoever wishes to be a friend of the world sets himself as an enemy of God.
