44 And at the seventh time he said, “Behold, (A)a little cloud like a man's hand is rising from the sea.” And he said, “Go up, say to Ahab, ‘Prepare your chariot and go down, lest the rain stop you.’” 45 And in a little while the heavens grew black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain. 44 The seventh time(A) the servant reported, “A cloud(B) as small as a man’s hand is rising from the sea.”

So Elijah said, “Go and tell Ahab, ‘Hitch up your chariot and go down before the rain stops you.’”

45 Meanwhile, the sky grew black with clouds, the wind rose, a heavy rain(C) started falling and Ahab rode off to Jezreel.(D) 46 The power(E) of the Lord came on Elijah and, tucking his cloak into his belt,(F) he ran ahead of Ahab all the way to Jezreel.
