44 and it was the seventh time that he said, “Look! A cloud as small as a man’s hand is rising from the sea.”

Then he said, “Go up, say to Ahab, ‘Harness your chariot and go down before the rain stops you.’”

45 In a little while the sky grew black with clouds and wind, and there was a heavy rain. Ahab mounted and rode, and headed to Jezreel. 46 Now the hand of Adonai was on Elijah, so he girded up his loins and outran Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.

45 Meanwhile, the sky grew black with clouds, the wind rose, a heavy rain(C) started falling and Ahab rode off to Jezreel.(D) 46 The power(E) of the Lord came on Elijah and, tucking his cloak into his belt,(F) he ran ahead of Ahab all the way to Jezreel.
