1 Kings 2:11-13
The Voice
11 David ruled Israel 40 years. He ruled in Hebron 7 years and in Jerusalem 33 years. 12 Solomon inherited David’s throne, and his kingdom was strong and healthy.
13 Adonijah (Haggith’s son) approached Bathsheba (Solomon’s mother).
Bathsheba: Do you come to visit me in peace?
Adonijah: Yes.

New International Version
11 He had reigned(A) forty years over Israel—seven years in Hebron and thirty-three in Jerusalem. 12 So Solomon sat on the throne(B) of his father David, and his rule was firmly established.(C)
Solomon’s Throne Established
13 Now Adonijah,(D) the son of Haggith, went to Bathsheba, Solomon’s mother. Bathsheba asked him, “Do you come peacefully?”(E)
He answered, “Yes, peacefully.”
