²⁷ So Solomon banished Abiathar from being priest to the Lord, thus fulfilling the word of the Lord that he had spoken concerning the house of Eli in Shiloh.^(A)

⁴ Benaiah son of Jehoiada was in command of the army; Zadok and Abiathar were priests;

²² and they ate and drank before the Lord on that day with great joy.
