²⁰ Ahab said to Elijah, “^(A)Have you found me, O my enemy?” And he ^[a]answered, “I have found you, ^(B)because you have sold yourself to do evil in the sight of the Lord.

^25 (A)Surely there was no one like Ahab who sold himself to do evil in the sight of the Lord, ^[a]because Jezebel his wife incited him.

¹⁷ Then ^(A)they made their sons and their daughters pass through the fire, and ^(B)practiced divination and enchantments, and ^(C)sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the Lord, provoking Him.

⁶ knowing this, that our ^(A)old ^[a]self was ^(B)crucified with Him, in order that our ^(C)body of sin might be ^[b]done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin;

³ So also we, while we were children, were held ^(A)in bondage under the ^[a](B)elemental things of the world.
