35 And the battle increased that day, and the [a]king stood still in his chariot against the Aramites, and died at even: and the blood ran out of the wound into the midst of the chariot.
36 And there were a proclamation throughout the [b]host about the going down of the Sun, saying, Every man to his city, and every man to his own country.
37 So the king died, and was brought to Samaria, and they buried the king in Samaria.

New International Version
35 All day long the battle raged, and the king was propped up in his chariot facing the Arameans. The blood from his wound ran onto the floor of the chariot, and that evening he died. 36 As the sun was setting, a cry spread through the army: “Every man to his town. Every man to his land!”(A)
37 So the king died and was brought to Samaria, and they buried him there.
