²The people, however, were still sacrificing at the high places,^(A) because a temple had not yet been built for the Name^(B) of the Lord.

³¹Jeroboam also built shrines on the high places^(A) and set up priests from every class of people who were not Levites.^(B)

³¹Jeroboam built shrines^(A) on high places and appointed priests^(B) from all sorts of people, even though they were not Levites.
