Amplified Bible
31 For he was wiser [a]than all [other] men, [wiser] than [b]Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, Calcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol. His fame was known in all the surrounding nations. 32 He also spoke 3,000 proverbs, and his songs were 1,005. 33 He spoke of trees, from the cedar which is in Lebanon to the hyssop [vine] that grows on the wall; he spoke also of animals, of birds, of creeping things, and fish.

New International Version
31 He was wiser(A) than anyone else, including Ethan the Ezrahite—wiser than Heman, Kalkol and Darda, the sons of Mahol. And his fame spread to all the surrounding nations. 32 He spoke three thousand proverbs(B) and his songs(C) numbered a thousand and five. 33 He spoke about plant life, from the cedar of Lebanon to the hyssop(D) that grows out of walls. He also spoke about animals and birds, reptiles and fish.
