16 He also made two bronze capitals, each one 7½ feet tall, to be placed on top of the columns. 17 The top of each column was decorated with a design of interwoven chains[a] 18 and two rows of bronze pomegranates.

16 He also made two capitals(A) of cast bronze to set on the tops of the pillars; each capital was five cubits[a] high. 17 A network of interwoven chains adorned the capitals on top of the pillars, seven for each capital. 18 He made pomegranates in two rows[b] encircling each network to decorate the capitals on top of the pillars.[c] He did the same for each capital.
