⁸ His house where he was to live, the other court inward from the hall, was of the same workmanship. ^(A)He also made a house like this hall for Pharaoh’s daughter, ^(B)whom Solomon had married.

¹⁶ For Pharaoh king of Egypt had gone up and captured Gezer and burned it with fire, and killed the ^(A)Canaanites who lived in the city, and had ^(B)given it as a dowry to his daughter, Solomon’s wife.

²⁴ As soon as ^(A)Pharaoh’s daughter came up from the city of David to her house which Solomon had built for her, ^(B)then he built the Millo.

^11 (A)Then Solomon brought Pharaoh’s daughter up from the city of David to the house which he had built for her, for he said, “My wife shall not dwell in the house of David king of Israel, because ^[a]the places are holy where the ark of the Lord has entered.”
