20 And the Lord hath [a]made good his word that he spake: and I am risen up in the room of David my father, and sit on the throne of Israel, as the Lord promised, and have built the house for the Name of the Lord God of Israel.
21 And I have prepared therein a place for the Ark, wherein is the [b]covenant of the Lord which he made with our fathers, when he brought them out of the land of Egypt.
22 ¶ Then Solomon stood before (A)the altar of the Lord in the sight of all the Congregation of Israel, and stretched out his hands toward heaven,

20 “The Lord has kept the promise he made: I have succeeded(A) David my father and now I sit on the throne of Israel, just as the Lord promised, and I have built(B) the temple for the Name of the Lord, the God of Israel. 21 I have provided a place there for the ark, in which is the covenant of the Lord that he made with our ancestors when he brought them out of Egypt.”
