When all the elders of Israel arrived, the priests picked up the Ark. The priests and Levites brought up the Ark of the Lord along with the special tent[a] and all the sacred items that had been in it. There, before the Ark, King Solomon and the entire community of Israel sacrificed so many sheep, goats, and cattle that no one could keep count!

When all the elders of Israel had arrived, the priests(A) took up the ark, and they brought up the ark of the Lord and the tent of meeting(B) and all the sacred furnishings in it. The priests and Levites(C) carried them up, and King Solomon and the entire assembly of Israel that had gathered about him were before the ark, sacrificing(D) so many sheep and cattle that they could not be recorded or counted.
