35 “When heaven is shut up and there is no rain because they have sinned against you, and then they pray toward this place, confess your name, and turn from their sin, because you punish[a] them, 36 then hear in heaven, and forgive the sin of your servants, your people Israel, when you teach them the good way in which they should walk; and grant rain on your land, which you have given to your people as an inheritance.
37 “If there is famine in the land, if there is plague, blight, mildew, locust, or caterpillar; if their enemy besieges them in any[b] of their cities; whatever plague, whatever sickness there is;

New International Version
35 “When the heavens are shut up and there is no rain(A) because your people have sinned(B) against you, and when they pray toward this place and give praise to your name and turn from their sin because you have afflicted them, 36 then hear from heaven and forgive the sin of your servants, your people Israel. Teach(C) them the right way(D) to live, and send rain(E) on the land you gave your people for an inheritance.
37 “When famine(F) or plague(G) comes to the land, or blight(H) or mildew, locusts or grasshoppers,(I) or when an enemy besieges them in any of their cities, whatever disaster or disease may come,
