26 King Solomon also built ships at Ezion Geber. This town is near Elath on the shore of the Red Sea, in the land of Edom. 27 King Hiram had some skilled sailors who knew the sea well. He sent them to serve in Solomon’s navy and work with Solomon’s men. 28 Solomon’s ships went to Ophir and brought back about 16 tons[a] of gold for him.

New International Version
26 King Solomon also built ships(A) at Ezion Geber,(B) which is near Elath(C) in Edom, on the shore of the Red Sea.[a] 27 And Hiram sent his men—sailors(D) who knew the sea—to serve in the fleet with Solomon’s men. 28 They sailed to Ophir(E) and brought back 420 talents[b] of gold,(F) which they delivered to King Solomon.
